| Kenneth Richard Samples serves as the vice president of theological and philosophical apologetics at Reasons To Believe. He is also the founder and president of Augustine Fellowship Study Center (AFSC), a non-profit educational center for philosophical and religious studies, located in Southern California. An experienced teacher and educator, Kenneth has taught courses in philosophy and religion at several colleges, and is presently a lecturer for the Master of Arts program in Christian Apologetics at Biola University in La Mirada, California. He has taught courses in philosophy and religion in special education programs to employees of Pacific Bell, Chrysler Corporation, General Motors, and the Ford Motor Company. Kenneth has delivered lectures and taught courses in various churches across the nation. He taught the popular “Mere Christianity Class” at Newport-Mesa Christian Center for four years, and now serves as an instructor of adult education at Christ Reformed Church in Southern California. Kenneth worked as Senior Research Consultant and Correspondence Editor at the Christian Research Institute (CRI) for nearly seven years, where he was a regular co-host of the popular call-in radio program Bible Answer Man. He also guest hosted the CRI Perspective radio program. An avid speaker and debater, Kenneth has appeared on numerous radio programs across the country including Religion On the Line, The White Horse Inn, Talk New York, and Issues Etc. He has participated in debates and dialogues on many diverse topics relating to Christian apologetics, including the existence of God. Kenneth is the co-author of three books, Lights in the Sky and Little Green Men: A Rational Christian Look at UFOs and Extraterrestrials (NavPress), The Cult of the Virgin: Catholic Mariology and the Apparitions of Mary (Baker Book House) and Prophets of the Apocalypse: David Koresh and Other American Messiahs (Baker Book House). He has published articles in Christianity Today, the Christian Research Journal, and Facts for Faith. Kenneth has held memberships in the American Philosophical Association, the Evangelical Philosophical Society, the Evangelical Theological Society, and the Evangelical Press Association. He holds an undergraduate degree in philosophy and social science and a masters degree in theological studies. Kenneth lives in Southern California with his wife, Joan, and their three children. | ||
