| Abstract: | ||
| The length of time represented by the word “day” sparks a storm of controversy. Lightning strikes and thunder roars with questions at the core of the debate: Does belief in an old Earth equate to belief in evolution? Is God’s plan a restored paradise or a whole new creation? Was there any kind of death before the Fall? Does the Bible speak of a “big bang?” In A Matter of Days, respected astronomer and author Hugh Ross, Ph.D., addresses these questions and explores how the creation-day controversy developed. History, theology, science and Scripture reveal creation’s big picture. | ||

This was the first RTB book I ever read and how I first heard about Hugh Ross. I had never ever heard an old earth approach before much less one from a scientific perspective. I was most surprised that he believed in an old earth and still believed in the inerrancy of scripture. I just assumed that anybody that believed that was compromising to accomodate science. I had no idea that you could have both and they would be consistent and in agreement with each other. This is the classic Hugh Ross book for those coming from a young earth perspective. I highly recommend it. - John |
